About me

Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a veterinarian with over a decade of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I believe in calm, compassionate care and always aim to make every visit as stress-free and comfortable as possible for both pets and their humans.

Over the years, I’ve developed a special interest in rehabilitation and helping pets recover from injuries or manage chronic conditions. I’ve completed further qualifications in this area and am a certified canine rehabilitation therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute (USA). This means I can combine traditional veterinary care with targeted rehabilitation techniques to help your pet stay active, mobile, and happy for longer.

I love getting to know each pet as an individual and working closely with owners to provide care that fits your pet’s lifestyle and needs. Whether it’s a routine health check, managing a medical condition, or improving mobility and quality of life, my goal is always to support your pet with patience, compassion, and expertise.

My services

Health Checks
Our in-home health checks are comprehensive and unhurried, giving your pet a full nose-to-tail assessment in the comfort of their own space. We include dental and oral checks, lump assessments with in-house cytology where needed, skin and ear evaluations, and a thorough review of your pet’s overall wellbeing. We also offer vaccinations, parasite prevention and nutrition advice.

Rehabilitation

Our in-home canine rehabilitation program is designed to help pets recover, regain strength, and improve mobility in the comfort of their own home. We work with post-operative patients (TPLO, patella surgery, soft tissue procedures) and neurological cases (IVDD, nerve injuries), as well as pets with arthritis or chronic mobility issues. Each rehab plan is tailored, combining targeted exercises, pain management, and therapeutic modalities to support faster, safer recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Laser therapy
We use a Class 3 therapeutic laser to support pain relief, reduce inflammation, and promote faster healing for your pet. This non-invasive treatment is safe, gentle, and effective for conditions such as arthritis, soft tissue injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain. Each session is tailored to your pet’s needs, helping them feel more comfortable and move more freely.

Chronic disease management
We provide compassionate in-home support for pets with chronic illnesses and those in need of palliative care. Our approach focuses on maintaining comfort, quality of life, and wellbeing through regular monitoring, tailored treatment plans, and symptom management, all in the familiar, stress-free environment of home. We work closely with you to make sure your pet feels supported and cared for at every stage.

Frequently asked questions

  • Most pet insurance policies in Australia cover treatment from a registered vet, whether it’s in a clinic or in your home. Coverage varies between insurers, and some don’t reimburse travel or house call fees, so we recommend checking your policy before your appointment.

We are also partnered with Gap Only. Check out www.gaponly.com.au for more details.

  • We are happy to work with pets that are anxious and uncomfortable with vet checks. We use a fear free approach. In some cases if your pet is unable to be examined we can reschedule with some light sedation on board. If pets require heavier sedation we can refer to a local vet clinic.

  • Laser is generally not painful and many pets find it to be a relaxing experience (some pets fall asleep!). If you have a specific condition you're looking to treat or any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

  • We work with a number of local vet clinics we can refer you to if your pet needs further testing or a procedure performed.
